Welcome to NEACHMM
Thank you for visiting the site of the NEACHMM - AHMP New England Chapter (NEACHMM). We are a regional Affiliate of AHMP and a nonprofit organization incorporated and domiciled in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with a mission to promote professional recognition of the CHMM and CHMP credentials issued by IHMM. NEACHMM was established for the benefit of professionals engaged in the practice of hazardous materials management offering a curriculum of informational meetings, networking events and facility tours. NEACHMM Board soliciting nominations!
The NEACHMM Board is soliciting nominations for the upcoming year to serve on the board.
Opening positions:
Vice-President (President-Elect): The vice president, who is elected to serve one year and is expected to serve as President the following year, presides over Chapter meetings in the absence of the President and ensures the development and execution of an appropriate annual educational program for the Chapter. The Vice-President will also serve as the Nominations Committee Chairperson responsible for leading the development of the general election ballot for the forthcoming year.
Treasurer: The treasurer, is elected to a term of two years in alternating years from the Secretary and manages the day-to-day finances of the Chapter. Specific duties include managing the Chapter's financial affairs, including but not limited to, maintaining the Chapter's financial records, mailing invoices, paying obligations, collecting receivables, making bank deposits, and interfacing with applicable government entities to maintain the Chapter's nonprofit and corporate status.
Secretary/Membership: The Secretary is elected to a term of two years in alternating years from the treasurer. They are the clerk of the chapter, record the Chapter meeting notes, manage Chapter correspondence and membership information and keep the web site up dated.
Directors-At-Large: Attend conference calls and Board meetings; assist with voting under a quorum when making Chapter business decisions.
NEACHMM is always seeking ideas for new program topics and volunteers for committees. If you have an idea or would like to join a committee, please contact the Board at [email protected].
Nominations are request no later than October 18, 2026. Elections will be held in November.

Have you renewed your membership for 2026? Memberships run on a calendar year basis. You can renew your Chapter membership directly through the NEACHMM website or jointly with your AHMP membership through the AHMP website. Email us if you have any questions!
